I have spend the last 3 days where no teacher likes to go at the beginning of August...back to their classroom. This year is an exciting year at #EPPS because it is our last year in the EP neighbourhood before the new school in FC opens in time for the 2017-18 school year. It is also exciting because almost every teacher has moved classrooms this year, meaning lots of packing, moving and unpacking. I went in to get ahead of the game and to get things organized before the masses head back the last week before classes start...it was a hot week to be in the classroom with no air conditioning! At the end of Day 3, if school started on Day 4, I would be adequately ready for everyone to arrive. I have plenty of more ideas of what needs to be hung up on the walls and what needs to be put out so that it is ready for the first bell, but overall I am happy. I have spent all of my spare time this summer reading up on new methods and lesson ideas as well as prepping materials to be used throughout the year. I am excited to get things organized and to start using the materials so that I can adjust to the eager learning. Here's a sneak peak at our classroom set up thus far. The walls are pretty bare and just waiting for personalization from students!
